Short-Term Therapy Success Story

Edwin was admitted to Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital following a motor vehicle accident where he sustained multiple fractures and a traumatic brain injury. Upon admission to Meadowbrook, Edwin was dependent for all his needs. He was unable to move on his own, needed assistance eating, required attention from respiratory therapy and had extreme difficulties communicating.

While at Meadowbrook, Edwin participated in the TBI Rehabilitation Program giving him several hours of therapy a day including physical, occupational and speech therapy. He also participated in music and recreational therapy with community re-entry programming and experiences. After a year of hard work, Edwin is going home and doing terrific! He’s looking forward to living on his own and hanging out with friends and family again. We couldn’t be more proud of Edwin and all of his accomplishments.
